Well... Discussed it with Franz and Jules and have decided to switch things up.
Going to bulk until I reach 250+ lbs then assess the timing to the next comp for cut.
Franz already created a new sup schedule for me which is awesome...

Oct. 23, 2010 Post
Man... It has been awhile since I have posted. I took pics in June, Aug and now today.
I started a new cycle for in Sept for 6 weeks and another one this month for 6 more weeks until I start phase 2 of bulking big time. Oct 1st I weighed 230 lbs and I now weighed in today at 220 lbs.
I have recent pics and I will try to find the other pics to show all 3 time to compare. Orange trunks are June, Blue from Aug and Gray Oct.
Diet is going great... Doing good on cheat days not to go hog wild... Nice knowing the Franz has my back and has cut phase sup plan ready. I am very excited to say that my bro Nick at the gym has a pose training plan in place for me and we may begin the week of xmas break which would be very cool. It sounds very tough and tiresome :-)

Sept. 9th 2010
Well again I am yet to take updated photos. I have been very busy and have now switched to working out after work which is going very well. About half way through this mini cut to mix things up then back on track for more bulking until Feb. 3rd 2011.
Franz worked with Bobby and I now have a new plan for cutting (at my request) - Thanks to Franz for putting up with me!
I am maintaining at about 221 lbs so far. At this point I think I will not have any problem getting into the light heavy weight division to be best in class which rocks!...

Been awhile
So... I have been really bad about posting. I have been so very busy with life but my gains are coming and coming on very strong.
I am doing a mini cut to mix things up and shock the system before my next big bulk coming Dec-Feb before it gets comp. serious... Last week I weighed in at 226 lbs and am now at 221 lbs. I believe I began this training at 197 lbs.
Strength is coming on good but I am switching a few exercises up watching a couple of body builders at the gym. They are both very cool. Nick is the Gym trainer/body builder and is going to work with me a bit on posing as well as my new bud Ben who is now 4 weeks out from comp.
I have kinda went back to basics s working out with friends I can lose a little focus on what my goal is "body building" not lifting heavy. So I have stepped back a bit, lightened the weights and can really feel a good pump again now :-)
My new routine is Wed-Fri after work around 4-5pm then Sat-Sun in the morning when ever I get around. Doing this allows better rest, greater workouts and more time with my family (waking hours)
I will have more picture before long. The muscles are starting to increase in volume a bit and I will wait probably a couple more weeks until I take some pics then about 4 more weeks after that to compare the differences.

Second set of pics - 08/01/2010
Well... Date night was awesome last night... I good a freebie day to eat anything... I had sooo much bad food... Typical American style :-)
Jules worked with me on some posing and took pics... I will post as few of them tonight. I am not happy with my form... I have some work to do. I think I am doing it correct then take a look at the picture and see I am leaning to the side, back, arms not properly formed to enhance my bi's, etc. I am happy about Jules helping with pics and my pose trainer video recording my sessions... Session start this week with 2 per week at 1 hour intervals each.
Weighed in this morning at 222.5 lbs but am thinking that it may be a little skewed due to my freebie day yesterday. I will see what I am at in a couple of days.
Very pumped about the plan that Franz and Bobby came up with for me. Sounds like it is going to rock big time!
Time to upload some picks so I can spend a little time with my fam before I hit the bed for another busy week. Hitting the big back tomorrow with Rick. Very glad that we have teamed up several times each week. He brings new ideas to my routine to switch things up a bit and is fun to crush it with.

Well... I visited with the mighty Franz yesterday and we are about to switch things up in 2 weeks. Starting the 14th of August I will go into a 10 week pre-cut phase. This means my meals and calories will decrease, workouts will stay the same for now and I will get grouchy for food :-)
During this time what muscle I have put on will get polished, volumize and get semi cut. When I come off this phase (this is so cool) I get 3 freebie days to eat like the typical american... like a pig... anything and however much I want :-)
After that I will be back to my bulking routine until Jan. 16 in which at that time I will start the official cut phase and a lot changes up then for 15 solid weeks :-) Hanz for be chisled and built like a shit brickhouse!!!
This weekend I will get some measurments and take my 2nd set of pictures and post. I may even have a pratice posing vid to post at that time :-)

Hit chest/Shoulders very hard today... Hit it Hanz style ;-)
I increased weight in all workouts today on all sets and even the super sets...
Incline Dumb Bell press I rocked... I have never lifted that much before.
15 reps of 65, 12 reps of 70, 10 reps of 75 & 8 reps of 80. That is without assist. With assist I would have gone up.
Maintaining 217.5 and the strength is coming on... Oh yeah
Bring on the bulk!!!!
I get to hit legs tomorrow... I am always excited about it the night before and right after the workout... During, I have to almost take myself away from it all... Like out of body almost :-)
I do enjoy hitting legs with RJ... I like seeing someone else want to puke and struggle other than myself... LOL
Switching things up a bit. Going to start hitting back on Fridays because I am FN sick of every either hitting back or doing legs on Wed and being in my FN way... Friday it is clear... I will hit shoulders again or switch arms up and do back Thursday... Not sure yet...

Well... I weighed in this morning at 217.5... Oh yeah... Did the best at measuring my own arms and it seems I have grown 1/2 an inch since the last time I measured them which is cool. But I may be off a little.
So the date is set. We will be heading to Franz and Fam on Labor day weekend. I am very excited to go see him and the fam. Hang, chill, boating, hit the gym and just be with some really cool people. Maybe I will even take Beepdog out driving so he can get practice in for his license :-)
It is exciting. I have actually gained and grew faster than I anticipated. Very excited to see where I finally end up at the end of my bulking phase in December.
So glad it is Friday... Week has gone by pretty fast but it has been so busy. I am so excited about just taking it easy, having a date night with my favorite gal, playing with Olivia, just good recovery and relaxation :-)
Need to finish up my creamy wheat, I am slacking this morning... End of the week really still affects me. It is getting better but I still get pretty worn down by the end of the week.

I weighed in this morning at 216 lbs.... Rock on... I am making huge gains... I was watching myself in the mirror during my sets (Like I usually do) and I frickin rock... Size is starting to come on, strength is coming and just an over all transition.
I was able to go my heaviest ever on my last set of incline DB presses today... I got 75 lb DB's up without an assist from Rick... I love dropping the weights and hearing that THUD...
Olivia was so sweet. She wanted to sleep on her mini fold out couch on the floor next to my side of the bed to be closer to me. She then was up at 300am with me because she said "I need some alone one on one time with my daddy". She then hung with me until I left at 430. She stated she wished I could just stay home and hang/play with her today...

Feeling much better this morning... Switched things up and having oatmeal in place of creamy wheat today... Wow is it filling. Back is sore from work out yesterday... No pain, no pleasure :-)
Olivia has been up with me since 3am. She said she loves me very much and just wanted some alone time with me... Now how do I make her go back to bed after she tells me that?!?! She has been chatting my leg off and now is staring at me while I eat and type. Funny little girl :-)
Started to hydrate again and am now weighing in at 214 this am. Just 1 lb off before this virus hit me.
Going to hit shoulders today and arms tomorrow. Rick had a conflict this morning and I really like doing arms with him.
Done with everything early this morning... Think I will go snuggle with Olivia for the rest of my time before I head out...

wow... So yesterday starts off with a bang and ends with a whimper... Rick and I hit legs and it was my best leg day ever... I killed them... Then throughout the day I started feeling funny and it hit me... I am pretty sure I had a stomach/ GI virus. I weighed in at 215 lbs yesterday morning and when it was all said and done with what goes along with the virus I now weighed in this morning at 211.5 lbs. That really blows that I dehydrated that much in such a little amount of time!!!
I am still feeling kinda down and funny. Body just feels off track now. But I must mentally change that, eat my meal now and prep to really kill my back this morning.
I'm very excited that we have absolutely nothing going on this weekend for the first time in like 6 weeks. It will be nice to just hang with the family, go fishing with Christian and just chill out.
I confirmed that next week my bro and I start to discuss times to begin posing practice. I can't wait to get this down so I can practice daily on my own and really hone in on these skills!!!
Better get moving...

Had a great time today crushin it... Hit it with my Jules, Rick & Adrianne while the kids played in the daycare area of the gym.
I am feeling way stronger and the weight is coming on... I have put a lot on. I am now up to 215lbs as of this morning. Arms are measuring in at 16". Legs are starting to get a little size to them as well which FN rocks!!
Each week that goes by I can see a difference in all areas.
Tomorrow is leg day and I am super pumped about this... I am going to have killer legs at the competition! I think my boy Rick may join me in the morning which is super cool :-)
Gotta start getting meals and bag packed for tomorrow :-)

Turning out to be a great week. I had the best leg day ever yesterday with Franz and Rick. Up at a decent time this morn, eating and will head in to hit my Shoulders around 7-730.
I had the strangest dream last night. I walk into the gym and all my animals are working out. Louie was on the bench press with Smokey spotting (Louie is a pomeranian and Smokey a boarder collie) while Zuess, Bandit and Baby Kitty were all doing incline and flat bench press helping each other on the last few reps (Baby Kitty is a small grey scurvy cat, Zueuss a cream point haired Sphinx and Bandit is our Dark Bald Sphinx).
And to top this off. They spoke in meows and barks but I could understand them. They said they wanted to compete in the same qualifier next April. And they all said they would kick all our ass in it.
Wow... Wonder what was in that last protein shake I had...

Tired this morning for some reason... Ate meal 1 in record time this morning which is good... The longer I have between the finish of my meal and 5am the better.
Hitting back very hard today. Worked in this area with Franz last Saturday and picked up some very good tips. For the most part I have it down. It's just those few little things that can make a HUGE difference breaking that muscle down even more.
No Rick this morning... Bummer. I got him back tomorrow for arms then Franz Friday to hit legs, Saturday I am on my own then Monday I get to crush it with Rick again.
Two more days and I am off for a four day weekend. Will be busy with family visiting but it's all good. This is the last long weekend for for awhile so I better make the most of it :-)
I gotta save at least two weeks vacation for the week of my competition next spring and then a week for our family trip with Franz and the gang to South Dakota next June...

Up right at 3:15 this morning and about complete with the creamy wheat... Eggs tasted so good this morning... I get to crush it with Rick this morn which is cool... Always excited about having a workout partner! Franz is coming back and we hit legs Friday. I am excited about seeing Franz again but legs, well I am yet to be excited about them :-)
Olivia is really getting into working out again... She told me last night she would give me 1000 kisses if I would do WII workout with her so I can get as strong and big as her uncle Steve. Funny lil girl :-)
I am proud of my Jules, she is motivating a friend to try to do more and she has lost about 8-9lbs now. Jules is working with her a few times per week now I think. I believe at this point it is just motivation talks and fast walk/jog to keep heart rate in the fat burning phase. I think it is very cool. Everyone who has kids owe it to them to be in the best health possible to ensure the proper example is shown and so they can stay alive for them to be raised.... KUDOS to Jules and her friend :-)

T-Minus 1 day
So the 28th is my first official day. I have kinda of cheated and begun early with a few cheat days in there for food. Today Jules and I have a cheat day this afternoon. Going to a movie and a treat of some sort. Will be the very last deviation from my meal plan until otherwise directed by Franz to do so.
I am so excited... Franz gave me his assessment and it is good.

Larger chest and back
Quads starting to show some growth
Gained some good weight. Started at 200lbs and lost 3lbs due to misunderstanding on meal plan.
Weighed in this morning at 208lbs
Franz and I hit back very hard yesterday. He felt it yesterday and I am feeling it big time today.
Starting some posing with Franz at the gym yesterday. Going to visit with my bro from work on getting going on the posing techniques so I can practice daily.

Wow... Woke up very tired, over cooked my creamy wheat which sucks and I'm running out of time :-(
Switching things up a bit... Going to hit arms today, shoulders tomorrow with a friend and then work Back and run through all with Franz this Saturday... Very excited to hit it with Rick and Franz this week!
Leg day went very well yesterday. Still about puked but it was at the very end of my workout this time. Ran out of time so I was unable to finish... I gotta get this down and not break so much in between. Guessing the breaking kept me from puking. I hit legs with Franz next week so I will be switching it up again a little next week.
Bummer... Turned the coffee pot on and went to check and realized it was never prepared the night before... That sucks!
Back eating creamy wheat after I stuck it in the freezer for about 5 min to cool off. This will put me a little behind because I like to have about 50-60 minutes in between my meals and the beginning of my workout.
I have gained up to 203.5 and continue to maintain that thus far even with being on vacation last week. I am very excited about the weight gain...
Better focus on slamming this meal...

Leg day... I am going to crush them... My goal is to finish today without having to hit the locker room to puke. I think I have not had a good pace in the beginning so I am going to experiment today and see how it works. I also woke up at 3:15 to ensure all breakfast was in me prior to 4:00 to give at least an hour before workout begins.
Another topic... I have always been one to shave... Not just my face but arms, chest, legs, etc... I love looking at the muscle definition without the hair interfering... I thinking I am going to try and find a good all body shaver. Using a razor just sucks, takes forever and is pretty hard on the nipple hair... Ouch :-)
Jules has always gotten a kick out of it but also thinks it is extreme. If I am one thing it is extreme! Body hair must go to get the true look of the muscle! It is amazing how quads look with hair and without... Huge difference!

I am back and so ready to crush it this morning... I have not been at the gym since the 12th of June. It was a good relaxing recover but now it is time to get serious... Next Monday the 28th is my official start date so I will be taking my before pics this coming weekend.
I have not woke up during my normal start hours for about the last 10 days so this morning I must have been worried I would over sleep because I woke up at 3:00. I laid in bed until the alarm went off at 3:30. Trying to pound the rest of my creamy wheat then pack my lunch, pre-shake, NOS and off to the gym... Shoulders day... I rock shoulders... Leg day tomorrow. Last leg day took me down hard. I have come up with a strategy so I can complete the entire routine without collapsing and at least not puking until the end :-)

Already feeling refreshed just sleeping in until 5am this morning... Taking it slow... Very excited about weighing in at 203.5lbs this am... Starting to see some gains in body structure, some in size and weight... Rock on!!!
Pounding the last bit of creamy wheat before I get ready to hit the gym and FN crush the hell out of shoulders this morning... Then I am off for the next week while on vacation... Mentally it is going to drive me crazy not going into the gym.
This sounds really bad but I am already to get back so I can really hit the gym hard... It has become an obsession with me... I am just so excited to get through the next several months and go back through this blog and review the changes in both physical and mental nature.
And through a unanimous vote (Franz and I) we have voted I changed my current personalized plate to "HANZ"... When I get back I am doing it :-)

Pounding the last bit of creamy wheat before I get ready to hit the gym and FN crush the hell out of shoulders this morning... Then I am off for the next week while on vacation... Mentally it is going to drive me crazy not going into the gym.
This sounds really bad but I am already to get back so I can really hit the gym hard... It has become an obsession with me... I am just so excited to get through the next several months and go back through this blog and review the changes in both physical and mental nature.
And through a unanimous vote (Franz and I) we have voted I changed my current personalized plate to "HANZ"... When I get back I am doing it :-)

Mind is blank and numb and body is sore... Arms today... 90 minutes to crush then off to a very, very busy day at work to try and shore all up prior to vacation starting tomorrow... Could be a later day pending how all goes.
I guess Jules had Olivia watch the Coleman vs. Cutler video on YouTube having a pose off. She thought they looked funny because they are so large... LOL
will never be that large but I wonder what she will think as I get larger over the next several month and years. Talked to Jules and already planning to train for another competition for Spring/Summer 2012.
I think she is getting used to the idea of me getting larger... She says "just not too large"... :-)
Another cool thing is that a friend of mine at work is an old bodybuilder and is going to coach me on posing techniques when I am ready... Super cool!

Pounding meal 1 and ready for my gals to get back home... Miss them a bunch!
Had a pretty rough day yesterday crushing legs... I was only able to get through part of the routine before I was about to puke. By the time I calmed myself down I had to get ready for work. Big bummer... I felt really bad at first but considering I was not doing half the exercises correct in the first place I guess it would make sense that doing them correct is going to kill me at first. Today is back day which is a stronger day for me. I am going to FN crush the back big time!!! Legs will be better next time.
If I am one thing that is competitive and knowing my bro has done this and is doing this again with me is a huge motivator!
Need to get on bodybuilding.com and order my additional supplements. It's been so crazy I keep forgetting to do it.
Gotta run and pack my meals for the day...

Terrific Tuesday
Morning all... What a wonderful day it is going to be... To start things off I get to go crush legs right off then of to work with a full schedule.
Only a few more days until we leave for South Dakota... Then I get to cheat... What most would consider eating very healthy I consider cheating especially with the program I am on. 1 major cheat I will be having over the next 1.5 weeks is Chinese. I love Chinese food and this will be the last time I have it for about a year so I am going to really enjoy it. Boy we just can hardly wait until we get to have bison on the trip... There is no better meat out there in my opinion!
Went and dropped a ton of money yesterday on 4 new tires for my cursed caddy... I have never owned and vehicle that has had more issues with reliability than this one... You would think the flagship car would have greater quality than the PT my wife drives. But time after time it continues to take a dive in reliability.
Thinking of trading it in next spring or summer... Not sure on what yet... Maybe a Maxima... I think I will go with a lesser of a luxurious car and save a little each month and get one that has proven history for quality instead :-)
I will miss the way it drives and rides... It is so fast and smooth with not bad mileage...

The weekend
What an interesting weekend... We start it off with me getting a flat in Des Moines, calling highway patrol for help, going to tire shop to only find out my sidewall is sliced and no one has my size of tire around town until Monday afternoon... We then turn around on the doughnut and get the PT then head to KC.
The trip down I am pretty sure we encountered a tornado or one close by, hail, very heavy rain. Olivia got freaked out.
Franz and I worked out for a long time. I learned a lot about form, types of exercises and the proper speed and tech. I also learned that I have not been eating enough... I misunderstood the instructions for the cream of wheat and now am eating the correct amount... It is about 10X as much per meal. I am still trying to woof it down without yakking :-)
Just had an overall great time with all the family. BBQ, went to the water park and got burnt, went on the lazy river with Olivia several times... She loves it.

Boy I can tell the end of the week is near... I am dragging a bit this morning... My legs have never felt like they do right now... Wow that leg routine rocks. I know the way they feel now they are going to look great come next may :-)
Off to another busy day... So much to do before Franz this weekend then we leave for South Dakota the following Friday for a week. I am still trying to figure out what I can do to at least supplement my workout while on the trip... Probably some simple resistance and I can still monitor my diet while out and about for the most part.

Awesome day
Today is going to be an awesome day... I like crushin the back. Plus, after today only a couple more days and I get to go see Franz which is cool.
Disappointed last night. I bought a new propane tank for the grill and was going to stick a couple of days worth of chix on it when all the storm warnings came out. So I decided to just nuke them. It never did storm in Maxwell that I know of... A little lightening and rain but that started after my chix was cooked :-(
Gym is going very well. I am going to have to crush it extra hard and fast come Friday. Someone set up a 6:30am meeting that I must present at... How dare they :-)
Oh well... Comes with the territory. New position starts before long and that is so cool... I can't wait!
Time to pound my pre-shake and head to the gym like a rat...

Leg Day
Okay... Leg day not my fav workout but I am about to crush them... I can do anything for 90 minutes!
I got up this morning at 3:45 got dressed and pounded meal #1 by 3:58. I had supplements taken and meals 2-5 packed by 4:10. Now I am waiting for 4:25 to roll around so I can make my pre-shake and then pack the car and head to the gym.
I had another dream last night... A very strange dream... All my dreams center around bodybuilding and posing these days as most of you know. This dream was extra weird. I found a new way to crush arms which gave a different look on your biceps. They had 2 extra peaks on the head which in my dream looked both strange and awesome at the same time...
Gotta run... 1 minute and counting :-)

Gym
Well... Today was my first day at the gym with my bulk routine... Man I crushed my chest and shoulders like I never have before... Pretty interesting the look on some of the faces out there on the amount of weight I was using... or lack of weight... Pretty big egos out there in the gym... Like my bro Franz says... "This is Bodybuilding not strength training"
I timed myself and I was able to get through all the sets, post shake and showered in 1hr 25min.
This is very doable and the best part is the earlier the less people doing nothing are in my way :-)
Legs tomorrow... That should be interesting as I FN hates legs...

30 more days
Well gang... I have 30 more days until my training starts full time. Even though I have implemented the workouts and the diet into my life I still get to cheat time to time until them which is a bonus. However, the cheats are fewer and fewer as my body is losing the cravings for them.
Monday I officially start the gym and will time myself on chest and shoulder. I have to keep my workouts at no more than 90 minutes per day per Franz. This is also very important so I can keep on schedule for work.
Slept in today until 6:58. Seemed so late getting up at that time... LOL
Pounded a quick shake then proceeded to cook meal 1 fresh. It was very nice not having to eat it precooked as I do all week.
Time to put together the BBQ grill, rotate tires, wash, wax and clean out the PT and Caddy before we relax tonight by the fire pit.
Tomorrow I get to work on Cody's car... Very exciting because we get to do this together so he can learn how to do simple mechanics on cars :-)

Man... Really dragging this morning. I was even in bed by 8:30 last night. Crush shoulders this morning then it is my wonderful 2 day break to recover. I am so looking forward to recharging for hitting it extra hard next week.
Very excited about joining the gym this afternoon. Monday morning 5am will be my first test at how efficient I am there crushing chest and shoulders. Good thing about hitting it at 5am is I won't have to deal with all the nonsense that goes on in the late afternoon when everyone and their grandma are in there. That gets very frustrating, almost impossible to work out the way needed.
Note to self: Only make cream of wheat in a 1 day batch. Anything older gets very dry :-(

About time to crush the arms... Woke up a little foggy so pounding my meal is going slower today. I find the later in the week the slower I go in the morning. I will have to check and work on the mental status a bit :-)

Time is flying and before long I will be in full swing of my training. Monday I start my routines at the gym. I have most of the workout (what I can do at home) down for the most part and have my meals down to where I can down them very fast. In fact it is 4:05 and I am already done with meal #1.
Very excited to work with Franz on the 5th, 26th and then July 5th again on work outs. I get to learn how to crush it Franz style :-)
Time to make my pre-shake and get ready to crush it early so I can head into work a little early today to catch up from yesterday...

So I get woken up with another bat this morning. Our cat Zeus is quite the bat cat but when we had the bird fly in our home was a big chicken and ran from it. Go figure.
I think I have figured out where they are coming in and will take care of that problem this evening.
Up at 3:30 this morning and am about to crush chest and shoulders. Breakfast went down very fast... I am actually still a little hungry. I will pound the pre-shake in a few and hit the workout. Picked up a ton of chix on Saturday from Hy-Vee. They rock!
Friday I join the gym in Ankeny so starting next Monday I will actually be able to do all workouts prescribed by Franz in a very efficient time. Even though I have the day off I will be in the gym right when it opens at 5:00am so I can have the true feel of the morning workout... I am guessing I might go in on Sat or Sun and play around a bit at the gym to get an idea of my surroundings and get a mental plan for each days workout :-)

Yahoo... It is a day off and I slept in... Just pounded a shake and getting ready to prep meal 1. Should have gotten up earlier for this meal :-(
Working on the grocery list for the next week... Mine is sooo easy since I duplicate my meal plan everyday.
Assembled the swing for Jules last night and we hung out at the fire pit until about 11:30. It was a good night!

Foggy
Mind is foggy this morning... I am glad that I have the weekends off and will sleep in on those days!
I think my posts will start coming in the evening now to gain a little more time in the mornings. Almost finished with meal 1 and cup of java. I have always been an extremely slow eater. To the point to where I irritate others. I am having to train myself to eat faster which is very hard for me since I have done this my entire life.
So the deck is done, fire pit active... Now I must set up the swing this evening for my Jules. Tonight is supposed to be in the 60's with low wind so I think when it is set up I will grab the laptop and a book and had out back and set a fire and hang out for the night until my gals return for a movie they are seeing with a friend. Some dairy of a kid show. Never heard of it... Jules said it sounded good for Olivia.
Well... It is time to get busy... I think I have proved that 3:55am is the time needed to eat, pack, blog for me to make it out of here by 4:30am. Now if I post in the evening I can save 10 minutes. Winter could be interesting, especially those days that it takes a good 90 minutes to get into work because of the inclement weather. Oh well... I don't have to worry about that for another 5-6 months :-)

So I wake up this morning and all is going fine and my pace is going very well to be on track when Christian tells me there is a bat in the house... So I go find it and get rid of it... If you are a fan of PETA sorry about that... Too bad... Yes I got rid of it. A magazine works very well as your weapon :-) Still trying to figure out how you are supposed to catch a bat safely without harming it or yourself and let it loose... How the hell do you catch a bat flying like crazy safely without getting bitten?!?!
Anyway... Now I am off schedule a bit. Today is arms day which is good since I can do most of that here. Can't wait to start up.
I am very happy and satisfied with my modified meal plan... Meal #1 will now also be meal #2 which is awesome since it is so easy/quick and so good. I went from protein pancakes and grapefruit to 1/2 cup cream of wheat with 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, 6 eggs and 1/2 grapefruit... All very easy and can be prepped the night before. All though Jules says it is gross to precook the egg whites they taste just fine heated up in the micro wave for 30 seconds :-)

Well I got to sleep in untill 5:15 today since I have the day off. Going to the zoo with Olivia on her field trip so I have extra time to work out this morning with out as much of a rush.
Tried my new meal plan today for meal #1 and it rocks... Frans did great with it. I added about 1/4 scoop protein powder to my cream of wheat and the chocholate really hit the spot.
I think I am going to join the new gym earlier than expected... I am sick of doing these pseudo workouts at home. I can at least get in some sort of routine, get used to the surroundings, have a better idea on timing prior to my training sessions with Franz that are coming up.

Groove
Still trying to find my groove in the mornings. I have to stop hitting snooze and get straight up at 3:45 to allow enough time I think. I got up right at 4am today and it is proving not to be enough time. I am trying to figure out how I am going to have enough time to cook my protein pancakes in the morning. Franz is correct, they are dried out... Even through I left gooey they are dried out some... So for each bite I chew then take a drink of coffee or water. Not going fast enough... Maybe I will just drink the first meal and pound the grapefruit really fast. Meal 2 I have no choice but to precook and bring to work.
Here it is 4:28am and I am still to eat my grapefruit or finish my protein pancakes. I tried the entire diet yesterday and Steve was right... I had to force myself to eat and get it all down. I even forgot the rice.

What a Monday :-)
So I wake up at 3:50 this morning so I can stay on schedule... 28 minutes later I am still trying to get all my protein pancakes down and have not even started my grapefruit yet. They are sooo filling it is hard to down them all. I am glad I have time to get used to this because here before long I won't have the time for this... I will be out the door at 4:30 to hit the gym when it opens at 5:00.

Tomorrow is my first early morning workout... I am finally adjust at getting up at $am each day. I need to do better planning on meal preparation in the evening for the next day... Still need to contact Hy-Vee and Fairway on pure boneless/skinless chix breasts... Gotta get the ones without all the crap they inject them with... Think I will purchase 80lbs at a time. At 1.5 lbs per day it will last me 53 days :-)
I am loving adding the diet plan into my lifestyle while still eating some fun stuff for the next 6 weeks. I so can't wait to compete next spring... A lot to do between now and then... I am so excited to see whee I end up for competition weight and what class I will be in.

Up at 4:00am on a Saturday - How crazy is that?!?!
SO I get up this morning all excited about protein pancakes to only find out we are out of the type of oatmeal I need to use... BUMMER! Slammed a quick shake and will go make some eggs before long.
I have a lot on order and arriving. Started some of my supplements today which are taken in the am and afternoon.
Saturday and Sunday will be my off days post 14 weeks out of comp. So I am just sitting here waiting for it to get enough light out so I can start working on the deck again. I better wait long enough not to wake up 100% of the neighbors when I get the skill saw going :-)
I actually got a lot of the plank cut and laid yesterday evening when me and my gals returned home from Ames. Screwed one end down both sides and now Cody will finished screwing in the planks. I hate that busy work!
I am hoping to have all plank cut and laid by 11:00am this morning so I can frame for the lattice work and gate then return materials to Menard's by early afternoon today.
Should be a very productive day...

Friday May 14th - YAHOO
Maybe I get a little crazy but TGIF... Now I can go with my Jules tonight shopping so I can start implementing a portion of the new diet into my lifestyle over the next week. I can also get the deck finished... That is if the rain stays away. Everyday the forecast changes. We are now supposed to get more rain this Sunday.
Maybe that will be a good day to just chill with the fam and pester Franz :-)
I will probably borrow the truck and return the extra supplies to Menard's and purchase the stain and lattice late Saturday if I finish laying plank in time.

May 13th and dragging
Alarm went off this morning and needless to say I was not jumping up and happy to get out... It is cold here and I think waking several times the night before caught up to me... I hit the snooze 1 time and got up 5 minutes later.
Next week I begin my workouts in the morning... 1st meal then shake then workout. Then shake again and get ready for work. Gotta get in the routine of the early morning workout since I have always worked out in the evening in the past.
After the 5th of June when Franz and I meet up I will start my new membership where I will be doing my workouts full time... Need to become acquainted with the surrounds so I can be as efficient and effective as possible each day when I start my training the 28th.
I figure with all my preparation and planning ahead I will hit the ground running strong with limited if any set backs or problems.
Off the topic of pre-planning for my training... Sounds like it is going to be wonderful weather this weekend so I should have the deck completed and stained. I should have SBA (stained before assembly) but I said the hell with it.
Looking like I over bought on some of the materials which I knew was a potential. But I would rather over estimate on the planning and return than minimize the risk and run out and have to return and spend more outside the budget.

Up nice and early
So I get up right at 4am this morning... Actually, I was so worried I would miss the alram I woke up several times thoughout the night checking the time because I wanted to ensure I was up on time.
Gotta start getting my body in the habit of these new changes coming up. Gotta start planning my days differently. At least the morning portion and prep work the night before since I will have limited time in the AM. Could get interesting in winter. That could be some really early mornings to make it to the gym by 5am. What is sad is that I am already thinking of the next winter and it is not even summer yet :-(
I have several projects to shore up between now and the 1st of June so I can be ready to hit the next phase in my prep. I don't want to rush my vacattion over but it is frustrating at the same time I really can't get started until it is past. There would be no way to stay on task and I refuse to do this half ass at any point of the training when I begin.
The good thing is it does allow me some time to prep. I am able to become adjusted to the times, bring the diet into my lifestyle with the sacrafices yet, and train with Franz a few times. It is all working out for the best... I am just restless and want to be doing it now!!! :-)

6 1/2 weeks until training
Well this is day one of my post... I continue to work out but at the level I am used to. I begin tech. and posture training on workout with Franz come the 5th of June. Jules, Olivia and I go to KC for the visit. I am so excited for this visit. I have my meal and work out plan from Franz all ready and plan to start implenting some of the diet into my life while keeping some of the other junk in it until my program starts Monday, June 28th. At which I will not be on anything but my prescribed diet for a very long time :-)
Biggest thing I look forward to in the next week is the protein pancakes and grapefruit in the mornings. I am also going start getting into the early am routine of first meal at 4am and working out at 5am to get my body adjusted so when the 28th rolls around I am fully adjusted.
I already eat about every 3-4 hours now so the little adjustment down to every 3 hours is no big thing.
I plan on posting before pics, progress pics and just fun pics so I invite you to follow and check daily :-)
